YYachts promotes young talent
On 1 August, the first two apprentices started at YYachts. They are being trained as boat builders in the shipyard for luxury carbon yachts.
In order to get suitable skilled workers, more and more companies rely on their own training. YYachts is also following this path and hired two apprentices on 1 August who will be trained as boat builders in the coming years. Johan Schlumm is a candidate from the region and Samira Rast, a sailing enthusiast, moved from Switzerland to Greifswald. Both Schlumm and Rast have already gained their first experience in the maritime industry and are highly motivated. Rast: "For me, this training is a small dream come true. After all, YYachts' models are absolute high-end products."
Managing Partner Dirk Zademack commented as follows: "In order to be able to serve the growing demand for our yachts, we have to build up staff. In the long term, apprentices are very well suited for this because they get to know and internalise our standards and mechanisms right at the beginning of their career. I am very happy about our two apprentices."
